HHB welcomes Jordi Domènech - Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid - as a HHB Fellow.
Jordi holds a BA from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona and a MSc and a PhD from the London School of Economics. His main research interest focus on the historical evolution of the Spanish labour market, on the causes of the Spanish civil war and on the long term origins of institutions. He is currently working on two main research projects: "Explaining the development of European Regions, 1850-2008" (Principal Investigator Joan R. Rosés) and "Convergence and inequality in the 19th and 20th centuries in Spain" (Alfonso Herranz-Loncan and Daniel Tirado PI).
